Lavender Hidcote (Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’)

Known for its rich essential oils, Hidcote blooms throughout the summer if the blooms are cut and/or deadheaded. Hidcote is a bit shorter than the English Munstead variety.

Bees, butterflies and birds love lavender! Hidcote has a more erect and compact growth habit than other lavender varieties compact habit so its works well for forming lavender hedges. The dark flowers dry well and hold their dark blue color.
